Schiit Audio Gungnir Multibit DAC

Quick Overview

The Gungnir Multibit DAC is a wonderful addition to any sound system, with a natural and organic texture that feels more like analog than digital source.

Availability: Out of stock

Schiit's Gungnir midrange multibit DAC delivers most of what we love most about the Yggdrasil DAC in a more compact, more affordable package. Like the Yggdrasil it's free of the digital artifacts and creates an expressive, detailed and harmonious musical experience free of digital artifacts. The sound is simultaneously exceptionally detailed yet utterly relaxed with no sense of strain or edge to the music so it's easy to listen for hours on end without fatigue. It does not have the ultimate transparency of the Yggdrasil, but the family resemblance in clarity, dynamics, tone and texture runs deep. It pairs perfectly with the Mjolnir 2, but also has the resolution and technical prowess to pair with the Cavalli Audio gear, which says a lot. The Gungnir Multibit is available only in silver finish. All Schiit Audio products are for sale to US addresses only. 1. Awesome musicality review by bags on 2/2/2018

I hated digital from day 1. I was never going to give up my VPI TNT with a Clearaudio straight arm and a Koetsu. I heard a few $20k DAC's that were good, but... Then I heard this. I ran 1000 cuts through it, only 2 retained that edgy digital treble haze that I hate. Everything else, space, clarity, slightly warm and inviting, but always accurate. Wow. 4k LP collection and equipment, gone. Because of this unit. The higher end one is accurate, but doesn't have the same sweet hint of warmness. This is the one.
